Civil & Structural Design

From a single lintel or beam to more complex frame analysis, portal frames, braced frames. Reinforced concrete, Steelwork and Timber designs all to current codes of practice. 

Civils work design such as foundation, piling and ground beams, rafts and retaining walls. Surface & foul water drainage, estate roads, bell mouths, cross overs, culverts, headwalls and bridge decks etc.

Structural Advice and Support

From a minor fracture to a major turnkey project, we provide expert advice to support clients when buying or selling a property, undertaking conversions or refurbishing. 

We can provide advise on repairs, simple extensions, new builds, bespoke dwellings or commercial developments. 

We can also assist with quinquennial reports, building regulation compliance audits, feasibility studies & CDM regulations.

Structural Detailing

From Structural Engineering sketches to aid the fundamental understanding of the design to production of full construction stage

 General Arrangement Drawings for either  small extension or multi-storey development.

Structural steelwork including connections, Reinforced Concrete including bar bending schedules and Timber including traditional empirical details.

Residential

We provide a full design and detailing service to private individuals, Architects, Surveyors & building contractors. 

We have experience in all forms of the residential sector including care homes. Traditional housing including listed properties made with cob, timber frame and masonry.

 Non-traditional housing such as steel-frame, pre-cast & in-situ concrete, clay pots & blocks.

Modern forms such as thin joint masonry, modular, SIPS, passive houses, living walls, green and blue roofs.

Commercial

We provide a full design service for Clients, Project Managers, Agents, Architects, and Building Contractors.

We have experience within the retail and commercial sector, particularly working within hygienic environments such as food preparation and production, storage and distribution facilities, offices & amenities.

Steel sheds, workshops and process plants. 

Transport facilities, including vehicle workshops, lorry parks & car parks including below ground and multi storey.

Schools, churches, halls & listed monuments.

Other services

We can provide assistance with contract administration related to JCT minor works agreements, providing tender documents, invitation to tenders, tender analysis & liaison.

Carry out valuations and certified payment stages such as interim, practical completion and final stage payments.

Not withstanding the above, we also assist with submitting demolition notices, 

planning and building regulation applications and liaison with other stake holders such as utilities, water authority, highways and environment agency.
